From Our Perspective
A collection of our photography, travels, explorations, and experiences. In photographic form.
Renee and Peter are such a wonderful couple. As photographers, we get to interact with our couple quite a bit before, during, and after their wedding, and we can say that Renee and Peter were such a joy to work with. They are both down to earth and so much fun to be around. We got to witness their deep love for each other, their love of baseball, check out their engagement session if you don't believe us, and their unique personalities. We simply can't say enough good things about this couple and how much it was a pleasure, and honor, it was to be a part of their big day.
Now let's get into the details! Their ceremony was held at St. Leo's in downtown Baltimore. Words are not fit to describe the beauty of this traditional church. The furniture, stained glass windows, ceiling murals, altar, and organ were simply breath taking. We're talking literally here: you walk in, and then you need to take a deep breath and take it all in. We offer our deepest gratitude to the church for allowing us freedom to move about so that we could get the best angles. We can't stress how much this small thing means to us as photographers!
From the church, we headed on over to the Hilton Garden Inn / Homewood Suites. Between the two hotels (weird note here: the two hotels operate a single lobby with the elevator on the left taking you to one hotel and the elevator on the right taking you to the other, something that we've never seen before) is a beautiful rooftop balcony and garden. The pictures that you see with Baltimore arrayed in all of its beauty were taken on this rooftop.
Then there was La Tavola in Little Italy. We need to mention a few very important notes before we get into the ceremony. First, Mike, one of the owners, is by far and away one of the kindest managers we have ever meet at a reception. He was helpful, friendly, and present throughout the evening should anyone need him. As if that's not enough, his entire staff was some of the best wait staff we have seen at any wedding. Service aside, the food was amazing. And we don't mean the cliche use of the word, we mean it was amazing!
The reception itself was expertly decorated by Charlene from Your Day Your Way. She did a wonderful job capturing the personalities of Renee and Peter and bringing their love of baseball to life. Between the excellent food, music, and company, it was an incredibly joyous event.
